Our Process
The Comprehensive Rice Milling Process at Shree Kamdhenu Rice Mill
- Raw paddy rice is first cleaned to remove impurities such as dust, dirt, and other foreign particles.
- Destoning involves the removal of stones or heavier materials to ensure the purity of the rice.
- The outer husk of the paddy is removed through a process called husking or dehusking, leaving the brown rice kernel.
- After husking, the brown rice is separated from the remaining husk and other by-products.
- The brown rice is whitened to produce white rice. This process involves removing the bran layers, germ, and some of the nutrients from the brown rice to achieve the desired polished appearance.
- Rice is graded based on size, shape, and quality. Sorting ensures that the final product meets the specified standards for uniformity and appearance.
- Some rice mills use color sorting machines to further enhance the quality by removing any remaining impurities or discolored grains.
- The final step involves packaging the processed rice into bags or containers suitable for distribution and retail.
